Hi, my name is Betsy Colvin and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. At Anderson Clinical Services we work with your teens and young adults to help them be able to live a better life and work on their struggles.

Life is already hard enough without adding traumas and mental health issues such as depression, or anxiety, or self harm.

Teens and young adults need an outlet somewhere and someone who will be on their team to help them walk through life. This is what I would like to do for you and your teen to relieve them of their life's problems through the therapeutic process.

In session, I am focused on being your teammate and collaborator to help guide you through your journey of self healing and self discovery. I specialize in treating ADHD, Eating Disorders, Anxiety & Depression. Working with ADHD, I am able to draw upon personal experience as well as clinical knowledge to offer ways to manage symptoms. For Eating Disorders, I offer a comprehensive approach when it comes to recovery. When we work together through recovery, we will explore the purpose that your eating disorder serves, and talk about strategies for overcoming the urges that your ED has. I approach working with anxiety with humor, normalizing it, and talking through it to challenge the validity of the thoughts, as well as how to manage the symptoms before they start. With Depression, I first get a sense of what that looks like for you, and then provide psychoeducation and find strategies to combat it.

I offer a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use a client-centered approach, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This allows me to help you identify triggers and create personalized goals for a healthier lifestyle.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, difficult life transitions, women's issues, interpersonal challenges, trauma, addiction, or navigating Christian faith beliefs, I can help you develop the tools and insights you need to move forward. Together, we'll work towards understanding your unique experiences, developing practical coping strategies, and building a path toward greater well-being and a more fulfilling life.
